Penny Awards Week

This is a special week at TRICKS. All summer after every class the coaches gave the kids 2 pennies to take home and save or to give. In Folsom we are giving all of the pennies and more to the Shriners Hospital. This is the last week of our Penny Program so we have asked the kids to bring in all of the pennies they can find at home for our big ceremony.
At the end of class we gather in a big circle and class by class put our pennies in. After we thank the children for being compassionate and generous, we tell them that we have something to share with them. Two at a time they come up to the awards stand. We give them each others awards and then ask them to share. Then they get to give something that we can all use and actually all need -- a hug.
